What will the hospital of the future look like?

Smart diagnostics, smart devices, connected and efficient operating rooms, and personalized medicine will enable patient-centered, smart, and sustainable healthcare. The basis for innovative, digital technologies is the integration, exchange and use of (big) data as well as the implementation of an interoperable infrastructure.

The networking event will focus on a future vision of healthcare with an optimized patient pathway in the hospital. Presentations from the medical device industry, research institutions and the hospital ecosystem will provide further insights into exciting research and development projects that shed light on various diagnostic, therapeutic and technological approaches.

Target group

The Meet & Match is aimed at (applied) research institutions, companies and start-ups as well as the hospital ecosystem – from the French Grand Est and the German region of Baden-Württemberg. The aim is to make new contacts, initiate collaboration and cooperation, and generate a common understanding of a vision of the possibilities and challenges of the hospital of the future. During a networking lunch and coffee break, there will be the opportunity for intensive networking.

Guided Tour

In addition to the lecture program and the opportunities for intensive networking, a guided tour provides insights into the following projects at the University Medical Center Mannheim:

  • Test and Development Center for Digital Patient Recording Systems TEDIAS ;
  • inspire Living Lab ;
  • experimental hybrid OR.
